Who We Are

We look for the desk fan.

There's a story about a production line that paid thousands in consultancy fees to stop accidentally shipping empty boxes. The consultants installed a weight sensor connected to an alarm—when a box was lighter than expected, it paused the entire line.

A few months later, someone revisited the factory. The sensor was still there, but the alarm never went off anymore. A worker had placed a desk fan next to the conveyor belt. He was sick of the alarm slowing things down. The empty boxes were so light they just blew off the belt before they reached the sensor.

Problem solved. No alarm. No downtime. A £20 fan.

That's the method.

Valdan is a small team of people who've run operations, written code, and shipped products. We know what modern tools can do — but we don't reach for the expensive solution first. We look for the desk fan. Every product we build starts from that instinct: find the simplest thing that removes the friction.

We're not limited to software. Hardware, process, automation, integration — if something is causing friction in your operation, we'll handle it. We find the problem and we fix it.

We charge fairly, we work fast, and we leave you with something that actually works. No ongoing dependencies. No black boxes.

What we're not.

Not a body shop

We don't rent you developers by the hour. We take on problems and deliver outcomes.

Not a big consultancy

No junior analysts. No 200-page decks. Senior people doing real work.

Not a software factory

We're not here to build you an app. We're here to solve a problem—sometimes that's code, sometimes it's not.

Not here forever

Engagements are short. We build, we hand off, and you own everything.

Got a problem that needs a desk fan?

Let's talk. No pitch decks, no sales calls—just a conversation about what's slowing you down.
